Sofia Vergara
Sofia Margarita Vergara Vergara is an Colombian actor who was born and raised in Barranquilla. Margarita Davila De Vergara happens to be her mother. Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo provides cattle for meat processing industries. She is one of five siblings. She was educated at a private bilingual Spanish/English school. When she completed her dental school in the field, she started working in the modeling and television business. Sofia did not get discovered at the seaside by an experienced photographer. That led to her landing various modeling jobs and television roles. At the age of 23, she became a model. Co-hosted the travel program Fuera de serie (1996) from 1995 until 1998. This allowed her to be exposed to Americans. Her debut film appearance was the criminal comedy Big Trouble (2002). Gloria Delgado Pritchett, a character from the American TV show Modern Family (2009), was her first major performance. She won four Emmy Awards between the years 2010 and 2013 for Outstanding Supporting Actress for an Comedy Series. Sofia resides in Los Angeles, California with her son, Manolo.
